Gov. Henry McMaster sees South Carolina as ripe with opportunity.
As a key facet of the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Sumter Legislative Day, the governor spoke on Wednesday, March 8 to a group of folks from Sumter representing city and county government, Shaw Air Force Base, the healthcare and financial sectors and more.
“The primary purpose is to place focus on the issues that will really affect our business community,” said Chris Hardy, chamber president, as he introduced McMaster.
Columbia City Ballet will grace the Patriot Hall stage with its production of “Beauty & The Beast” for two spellbinding performances only. This production features choreography from Executive Director William Starrett and music composed by Léon Fyodorovich Minkus. The performances will be held at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at Patriot Hall.
Well I did it again, I talked about the nice weather with 800 temperatures in February and now it is mid- March with 400 and 500 temperatures. The Azalea blooms may not survive the next few weeks. We even had ‘snow’ one morning! We did not receive much accumulation but it sure was nice to see the big flakes falling.
