Certain precincts not eligible for upcoming special elections

 Special Attention

The following precincts will not be voting in the Special Election on May 2 nor on June 20, 2017:

Mayesville, Salem, St. John, Morris College, Crosswell, Loring, Lemira, Mag. Harmony, Stone Hill, S. Red Bay, Savage Glover and Bates. These precincts are in Congressional District 6. Only voters in Congressional District 5 are eligible to vote in this Special Election.

Sumter County Registration/Election office is open for Absentee Voting for the Special Primary Election for Congressional 5 and House District 70.

You may call one of the following phone numbers below to request an absentee ballot or you may come to 141 N. Main Street Room 113 from 8:30 to 5:00 to vote in person.

On June 12, 2018, Sumter County Council approved the third and final reading for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget Ordinance.  This year’s budget proposal was balanced at $52,752,483 revenues and expenditures with “NO TAX INCREASE.”
