The Current Santee-Lynches Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was adopted on June 2015, is a community-wide effort consisting of input from 15 local entities. These organizations worked with major stakeholders in the community. The combined effort of all these entities composes a regional, multi-jurisdictional mitigation plan that considers all visions of what concentrated efforts should be placed on specific hazards and mitigation measures. The Plan is now updating to address new needs and hazard trends in Kershaw, Sumter, Clarendon, and Sumter County for the next 5 years.
