golf_ball.jpgThe Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department offers Sumter County a golfer's paradise. With four courses right here in Sumter County, and over 20 more within one hour's drive, Sumter has the links to suit your needs.

Unhurried, uncrowded and unbelievably priced, the area courses offer a challenge to golfers of every skill level, and our mild four-season climate ensures that the greens are always green.

    Crystal Lakes

Crystal Lakes is our municipal course located at 1305 Clara Louise Kellogg Drive, adjacent to Dillon Park. The course design will reward good shots and provide a fun golf outing for everyone.

Water hazards come into play on the first five holes. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an 18-hole round. A pro shop, snack bar, putting green, driving range, carts, lessons and club rentals round out the facilities.

Originally designed as a 9-hole course by Ed Riccoboni, the course was expanded to 18-holes with additional architecture work by Wayne Chappel.

    Other area Golf Courses
