Sumter County is soliciting separate sealed bids from qualified vendors for the following project -- U.S. 378/76 Interchange improvement.


Bids will be received until 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the Sumter County Council Chambers on the third floor of the Sumter County Administration building, 13 East Canal Street, Sumter, South Carolina 29150. Please refer to the weblink to Kimley-Horn for all updated project documents.

CCTC establishes first Water Environment Federation student chapter in SC

Central Carolina Technical College was recognized recently for establishing the first Water Environment Federation (WEF) student chapter in South Carolina.


WEF's student chapters are professional organizations for students with an interest in the environment or becoming more active in the water industry. Chapters provide an avenue for the exchange of information and ideas between students, academics and members of the Water Environment Federation.

Spoke too soon...

Spoke too soon...


Well I did it again, I talked about the nice weather with 800 temperatures in February and now it is mid- March with 400 and 500 temperatures.  The Azalea blooms may not survive the next few weeks.  We even had ‘snow’ one morning!  We did not receive much accumulation but it sure was nice to see the big flakes falling.
